DESCRIPTION:The flagship project for secure networking of data centers in Europe\nToday\, large data centers are the most important hubs of the Internet. They have a huge computing power and are located far away from the customer. This leads to low flexibility\, high traffic in the network\, long delays and security concerns. The consequences are that more convergence of telecommunication networks and IT is needed and that data centers are more distributed and are located closer to the customers. The strategic goal of the 3 year CELTIC-NEXT project SENDATE is to pave the way to this new network topology through de-localized and securely connected date centers.
