Abstract

TRACA proposes a hybrid, convergent framework that maximizes impact by repeatedly combining five transformative technology domains—Agentic AI for autonomous decision-making and multi‑agent coordination; Quantum Communications (e.g., QKD) for high-assurance secure links; Domain‑Specific Foundation Models for specialized multimodal intelligence; Extended Reality (XR) for immersive digital‑physical operations; and AI‑enabled Smart‑Grid Cybersecurity for critical‑infrastructure protection. Rather than treating these as standalone tracks, TRACA emphasizes their systematic integration into interoperable architectures, shared data/trust layers, and end‑to‑end security-by-design workflows that can be adapted across sectors and regions.

TRACA’s approach is illustrated through five core use cases spanning education, research, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental monitoring—each intentionally reusing and recombining the same technology building blocks to demonstrate synergy and scalability—plus other supplementary scenarios (smart cities, advanced manufacturing, cultural heritage, materials discovery, space operations and more) that showcase extensibility beyond the initial scope.

Ultimately, TRACA aims to catalyse secure, resilient, and reusable digital ecosystems through sustained cross-domain technology convergence.
