NODERIQ-RCN: Resilient Cognitive Networking for Distributed Autonomous Systems

NODERIQ-RCN: Resilient Cognitive Networking for Distributed Autonomous Systems

Title of my Project Idea
NODERIQ-RCN: Resilient Cognitive Networking for Distributed Autonomous Systems
Objective of my Project Idea

Autonomous and remotely operated systems often depend on continuous communication with central infrastructure, creating critical failure points when networks become congested, degraded or unavailable.

NODERIQ-RCN aims to research, develop and validate a resilient distributed mission-intelligence and communications-orchestration layer that helps heterogeneous autonomous agents, edge devices and human operators continue coordinated civilian operations under intermittent or degraded connectivity.

The project will combine network-aware distributed AI, decentralised mission-state management, adaptive task allocation, edge inference, resilient mesh and private 5G/6G awareness, secure event synchronisation, human-in-the-loop controls and auditable decision workflows. Mission execution will adapt to communication quality, node availability, compute resources and operational priorities. Local nodes will retain authorised operational context during disconnection; when connectivity returns, distributed states will be securely reconciled.

Validation will use civilian scenarios such as critical-infrastructure inspection, emergency logistics, industrial robotics or smart transportation, with heterogeneous UAV/UGV/robotic platforms, sensors, edge compute and an operator station. Planned measures include mission-completion rate, recovery and replanning latency, communication overhead, state-reconciliation time and operator-intervention frequency.

NEURA PARSE LTD will coordinate the proposed 24-month project and contribute NODERIQ research expertise in resilient shared-world intelligence, distributed autonomy, edge operation and accountable human authority.

We seek international industrial partners in telecommunications/private 5G-6G, resilient or mesh networking, edge computing, autonomous robotics/UAV/UGV platforms and real-world civilian pilot environments. The target outcome is an interoperable TRL 6 demonstrator, validated benchmarks and a route to commercial pilots.

Types of partners being sought
International industrial partners sought: (1) telecom operator, private 5G/6G provider or telecommunications R&D SME; (2) resilient communications, mesh-networking or network-optimisation company; (3) UAV, UGV, robotics or autonomous-vehicle technology provider; (4) edge-computing or embedded-AI provider; and (5) industrial or critical-infrastructure end user able to provide a civilian pilot environment. Partners should be established in a Eureka country, contribute genuine R&D and commercialisation capability, and help define measurable communications-resilience and mission-continuity validation.
