Objective of my Project Idea

- The primary objective is to develop and implement a sophisticated, real-time sewer risk management system built upon a Geographic Information System (GIS) platform. This system will utilize data streams from strategically deployed IoT sensors and leverage advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, including Machine Learning (e.g., Ensemble Learning, SVM, Robust Regression) and Deep Learning (e.g., GNN, GCN, LSTM), for predictive analysis and risk assessment.

- Key functionalities include:
1) Sinkhole Risk Analysis: Analyzing and predicting sinkhole formation potential by integrating real-time IoT data with spatial information such as sewer pipe conditions, leak history, land use, groundwater levels, and surrounding underground infrastructure.
2) Illegal Discharge & Odor Source Identification: Detecting and locating sources of illegal wastewater discharge and problematic odors by analyzing patterns in water quality sensor data, location information, enforcement history, and time-series data using models like Graph Neural Networks (GNN).
3) Hazardous Gas Risk Assessment: Assessing the risk of hazardous gas accumulation (e.g., in manholes) by analyzing real-time gas sensor readings, sewage composition, historical incident data, and environmental factors using models like Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks.

- The ultimate goal is to integrate these capabilities into a comprehensive 'System-of-Systems' architecture. This integrated platform will provide actionable insights for city authorities, enabling proactive maintenance scheduling, rapid emergency response, and overall improvement of urban sewage infrastructure safety, resilience, and operational efficiency.
