Project A.I.M.E.E.

Abstract

A.I.M.E.E. will deliver the first open, hybrid edge-/cloud-based video-telematics platform able to analyse multi-sensor vehicle data, issue real-time driver alerts, and feed predictive fleet analytics—while preserving driver privacy. A 5G-enabled gateway with dual-facing ADAS, GNSS/INS and CAN connectivity performs time-critical AI inference at the edge; a secure cloud layer refines models across fleets for continuous learning. Key innovations include (i) a modular 5G telematics device with open SDK, (ii) proprietary vision-AI for distraction, drowsiness and hazard detection, (iii) a smart data-offload protocol that respects GDPR by keeping sensitive video on-device, and (iv) a distributed model-registry to roll out upgrades safely over-the-air.

The consortium unites Munic (FR) —hardware & fleet-platform leader, Connected Wise (TR) —embedded vision-AI specialist, and Tofaş (TR) —OEM-scale validation partner. Over 30 months we will build prototypes, test them on demonstration fleets in France and Türkiye, and integrate the new safety services into Munic’s commercial “ekkofleet” platform. Expected impacts: ► ≥35 % crash-rate reduction and 8 % fuel saving for pilot fleets, ► €450 M cumulative revenue potential five years post-launch, ► contributions to ETSI ITS and UNECE ADAS standards. By combining European hardware excellence, Turkish AI talent and OEM validation, A.I.M.E.E. sets a new benchmark for safe, privacy-respecting connected mobility.
