Abstract
AGENT-X develops a vendor-neutral agentic AI framework enabling autonomous coordination across RAN, Core, Transport, and Edge domains in next-generation mobile networks. The project overcomes today’s fragmented, vendor-specific management systems through intent-driven orchestration, semantic interoperability, and trustworthy AI governance aligned with the EU AI Act. It combines multi-agent reasoning, digital-twin validation, and explainable decision-making to transform network operations from reactive to proactive. Four use cases validate the framework in realistic environments: multi-vendor interoperability, transport network resilience, predictive multimedia optimization, and energy-efficient VR streaming. Expected results include energy reduction, improved service resilience, and measurable OPEX savings. AGENT-X contributes open-source reference implementations and standardization inputs to 3GPP, ETSI, and TM Forum, accelerating European leadership in trustworthy, interoperable, and energy-aware AI ecosystems for 6G network automation.
