i2D Mobility Management (of connected Vehicles and People); I2D – intelligence to drive and move
On the last decade EU failed ALL Road Transport GOALS.
On the NEXT decade “i2D Mobility Management” of Connected Vehicles and People can reduce External Costs of Road Transport by 15% in Environment, 35% in Accidents and 10% in Congestion.
Breakthrough technologies addressing challenging targets:
1. Promote savings in External Costs of Road Transport and Urban Mobility:
1.1 "You can't manage what you can't measure" (Peter Drucker) - provide accurate information on the costs of each of the 3 impact axes: Environment, Accidents, and Congestion.
1.2 Implement policies of (i) “incentive-charging”, (ii) personalized, "vehicle by vehicle" taxation, fully respecting the "Polluter-Paying" principle.
1.3 Road Safety real-time warnings both to Vehicles and Vulnerable Road Users, whenever a high-probability possible accident is detected.
2. Promote exponential use of micromobility and public transport, trough “dynamic incentives” worth up to €0.30 per km traveled on urban commuting.
Tech Goals, Challenges, Skills
1. OBFCM came into effect on 01/Sept/2021, but data access will be restricted for the next 5 years, what is contrary to citizen's right to information. The proposed Universal OBFCM will process free, public, raw data from all OBD protocols (not just CAN), from most light duty vehicles sold in EU since 2004. 300 million vehicles instead of 50, and data at the distance of a click.
2. Filling a security gap: how to ensure that raw data comes from real sensors and not simulators? This is the role of the Digital Data Enforcement System (DDES).
3. Driving and Mobility scoring - based on OBD and other sensors’ raw data, unique methodologies and processing algorithms sets, allows quantify, in EUR, real economic impacts of Driving-Mobility Scoring Differentials.
4. GDPR “by design” compliance, not depending on driver consent, without loosing value.
5. 5G C-V2X technologies to support Road Accidents real-time warnings to both vehicles and/or vulnerable road users.

Brief description of my Organisation
Established in Jan-2023, Lisbon, UVolution Green Ltd is a spinoff based on over fifteen years of R&D on the sustainability of Road Transport and Urban Mobility, and EU grants.
The proposed “Mobility Management” project updates and extends the UVolution’s “i2D Telematics Research Platform”, which supported dozens of millionaire R&D projects, primarily in USA and EU.
Previous EU recognition
2015: H2020 SME-I Phase 1 Grant
2018: H2020 SME-I Phase 2 Seal of Excellence
2022: EIC GHG Programme participant
2023: PRR (PT) Bike-UVolution POC
2023, April: i2D-MSW project Celtic-Next Full Label (not executed)
